MX7 Linear: The next generation manufacturing machine

The MX7 Linear is a powerful, versatile CNC tool grinder designed for production grinding. It is built to meet the demands of high output, high precision manufacturing. The powerful 38 kW (51 HP) permanent magnet spindle provides high torque at lower RPM which is ideal for carbide grinding and a wide range of other applications.

MX Linear

  • Product Details
The MX Linear range is specifically designed to meet the needs of tool production facilities seeking maximum output while remaining flexible to customer requirements. The machines include new technology linear motors that enable them to achieve even higher levels of accuracy and performance.

    COMPACT AND RIGID DESIGN
Small machine footprint with a large working envelope. It has minimal axis movements during grinding which reduces cycle times.
    AUTOMATION OPTIONS
RoboMate for high volume tool production or FastLoad-MX for low-volume.
    WHEEL CHANGER
2-station wheel changer included as standard for MX5 and a 6-station for MX7. Loads wheel packs and coolant manifolds for maximum productivity.

    Applications

From endmills to punches, taps and PCD tools, ANCA has the machine that meets all your application needs. Learn how ANCA can help you grind the perfect tool.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of the permanent magnet spindle over the induction motor spindle?
The main advantage with the permanent magnet spindle is its ability to deliver constant torque across the entire RPM range. This means that the permanent magnet spindle has more torque at low RPM which is ideal for applications like carbide grinding. Typical with an induction motor spindle the power will build up to its maximum torque at a certain RPM, let's say around 4000 RPM. It will then pretty much maintain this torque across the rest of the RPM range.
What is the axis stroke of the MX7 Linear machine?
    X-axis
    Axis travel 540 mm
    Y-axis
    Axis travel 510 mm
    Z-axis
    Axis travel 217 mm
    A-axis
    Axis travel 360°
    C-axis
    Axis travel 264° (+44, -220)
What is the HSK type on the MX7 spindle?
It is the HSK 50F. The HSK form itself is 40E but because it has a 50mm flange the technically correct name and what should be quoted is 50F.
What is the maximum wheel pack weight for MX7 Linear?
Maximum wheel pack weight is 8 kg (total wheel pack assembly)
