Connectivity with the world is something we take for granted in our every day lives. We no longer need to be in the office to check emails, receive calls or even access our files. We can be anywhere in the world and, thanks to the cloud and mobile technology, still be connected. It’s a world of digital transformation that now applies to CNC machining.

New cloud-based management software, along with the Internet of Things – that is the networking of machines that send and receive data – are helping us design, test and produce tools no matter where we are or our facilities are. Pooling of live data in the cloud means we can now optimize our processes in real time, even from the other side of the world.

 

Here are five ways the cloud will make CNC machining easier:
