TXcell Linear: Grinding without compromise

TXcell Linear enjoys all the function and features of the TX7 Linear, but has a standard robot loader, capable of changing wheel packs up to 300mm diameter and work pieces.  Wheel packs can be substituted with endmills, polishing or deburring brushes or spindle speeders to further extend the range of applications and operations possible on the TXcell.

TXcell Linear

  • Product Details
The TX Linear range is the new industry benchmark for production grinding and machining of cutting tools and components. With a large working envelope and powerful grinding spindle, the TX Linear range will deliver precision and productivity across the widest range of applications.

    CONTROL PANEL
Includes touch screen, USB ports and space for a standard keyboard as well as ergonomic tilt adjust to suit different height operators.
    LARGE WORKING ENVELOPE
For tool lengths up to 400mm (16”) long, and up to 300mm (12”) diameter, the TX Linear gives total flexibility to tackle any job.
    TXCELL CAPACITY OPTIONS
TXcell is offered in two sizes. The small robot cell comes standard with 9 wheel packs and option for up to 14, plus it has two tool pallet stations. Frequently Asked Questions

How is the 3000RPM capability on the headstock utilised?
TX headstock can be run as a spindle up to 3000RPM which delivers two very useful functions. Firstly, wheel dressing operations take advantage of this when a dresser roll is mounted to the headstock. Secondly, cylindrical grinding operations using peel grinding methods are also possible.
What work holding options are usable on the TX Linear?
ANCA offers its own range of PremierPlus collet adapters that utilise a range of Schaublin collet systems for precise and rigid tool holding. TX7 headstock also includes a BT50 taper with pull stud retention, which means operators can alternatively mount their own specific work holding systems.
What are the two standard configurations of TXcell?
The standard TXcell is offered with 9 wheel pack stations (option up to 14) and two tool pallet stations.  The larger TXcell is offered with 9 wheel packs (option up to 24) and 4 tool pallet stations.
I plan to manufacture carbide endmills, what machine options would you recommend?
Beyond the standard machine with Robomate loader, ANCA offers a number of handy options that can improve your machine productivity for endmills.

Pop up steady supports the tool during grinding to ensure optimal tool runout.

LaserPlus automatically measures the tool in the machine and will compensate key dimensions to ensure unmanned production is consistent and accurate.

AutoStick will recondition a wheel in process, maintaining optimal wheel grinding condition.

iBalance eliminates wheel pack imbalance, and delivers superior tool surface finish.
What wheel diameters and weights can be used in TXcell?
TXcell will handle 300mm diameter grinding wheels on a limited number of wheel pack stations, and the remainder take 200mm grinding wheels.   Maximum wheel pack weight is 8kg.
Can the robot in the TXcell be used for operations other than wheel pack and tool load?
Yes, ANCA develops customised solutions upon request, to take advantage of the flexibility offered by a robot loader.  Examples include part measurement, laser etching and part washing.  ANCA’s dual robot TXcell can offer even greater automation potential.
