Chris Wagner and Karel Redig are Applications Engineers and together have over thirty years’ experience working with customers out in the field.
The role of an Applications Engineer is to support customers to help them get the best performance possible from their machines and respond to their individual requests. Their extensive knowledge of our products and experience in working with tool grinders to understand their needs makes them the perfect front line to service our customers.
Number one in lifetime customer experience means delighting our customers
What makes a happy customer is finding ways to get a better outcome from their grinding applications and increasing machine productivity. By talking with customers to understand their own customers, our Applications Engineers can quickly recommend the addition of options, such as the P-Axis, RoboTeach or in process laser measurement so customers are set up for success.
Another role the engineer plays is to train and up-skill the machine user so they have the knowledge themselves of how to get the most out of their grinders. They do this through structured training programs on site and by walking a customer through a requested tool application.
Watch a video to hear from Chris and Karel on their roles at ANCA and if you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you keep a look out for #ToolTipTuesday where we share handy tips and tricks to grind the perfect tool.
